In 2007 she played Tamil romantic drama “Paruthiveeran”, due to which she nominated for National Film Award for Best Actress- Tamil for her performance.
Then in 2008, she appeared in the Malayalam romantic movie, Thirakkatha through which she won Filmfare Award for Best Actress Malayalam (She played as a character as Malavika and got critics).
Hindi debut from Hindi epic adventure movies, Raavan directed by Mani Ratnam.
She appeared in a Telugu thriller in 2016 “Idol Ramayana
