BMW R 12 nine T launch Trending Edition Ex Showroom Price

The BMW R 12 Nine T is the most recent addition to BMW Motorrad India’s Heritage line-up.

The R-12 NineT changes the road into a stage and gives you a fashionable look. This incomparable roadster combines traditional features with up-to-date technology to produce an exclusive piece of artwork. The iconic bike is driven by the legendary boxer engine, which provided its fans with thrills for several decades.

Modern-retro design

R 12 nine T has a unique style from BMW, which makes it seem as if the company has built a bike around this huge, Boxer twin engine, but we will come back to that later. Let us just take in the view for now.

Some of its prominent features are the large fuel tank and a circular LED headlight. Just like classic BMWs, attention to detail is high with things such as dual exhausts on the left side of the bike or how the engine protrudes out. It complements the overall look of the bike.

The Boxer twin

A 1,170cc air- and oil-cooled boxer engine powers the R 12 nine T producing 109bhp at 7,000 rpm and peak torque of 115 Nm at 6,500 rpm. This is linked to a six-speed transmission system. The engine ought to provide some effective midrange thrust along with an engaging nature. And not forgetting when starting up or blipping at a standstill, there will be some lateral rocking motion you will detect.

Great gadgets

It comes with a decent set of gadgets which include dynamic traction control, keyless ignition, and three ride modes; Road, Rain, and Dynamic. Other features include an LED lighting system, USB port, and electronic immobilizer.

Hardware

A tube steel-bridge frame is used in the chassis that is suspended by a USD fork and a rearward paralever swingarm directly linked to a spring strut. The motorcycle has 17-inch wire-spoke wheels. Braking is done by two 310mm discs at the front and one 265mm disc at the rear.

The essentials of the 1170cc, air/oil-cooled boxer twin are from the R12 Nine T, including the peak power of 109hp. It now comes in at 7,000rpm, just 250rpm sooner and the peak torque is rated at 115Nm at 6,500rpm (84.8lb-ft), which is down by 1Nm and comes higher in rev range by 500rpm.

While the engine remains unchanged, the frame on this new bike is much more simple than that three-piece bolt together design they used before on their previous generation bikes like these old R nines T models. This time, however, you get fully adjustable upside-down forks up front, just as they were previously designed. At either end, there’s still, however, one hundred twenty mm of wheel travel available for use.
